Why choose wooden toys?
Wooden toys are naturally beautiful, durable, practical and environmentally responsible! Children love the smooth textures, the smells, and the satisfying weight of wooden toys. Even tasting is allowed! High quality wooden toys and puzzles can be durable enough to withstand years of use and may be passed down to your children's children. If a wooden toy breaks, it can generally be repaired, unlike most plastics. And in the end, if a wooden toy is no longer useful or is broken beyond repair (if it's chewed up by the family dog, for example), Mother Nature can work her magic and take it back!

I'm shopping for a school or daycare. Do you offer a discount?
Yes. To show our appreciation for those who work hard every day to help our kids to grow and learn, any Fine Wooden Toys purchase for a school, daycare or other educational institution is eligible for a 5% discount. Registering for the discount is easy, just do the following during checkout: Enter the name of your institution in the space provided for "Company", and type the coupon code CARING4KIDS in the space provided. The discount will be applied to your total prior to final checkout.

What if the item I want is sold out?
We try very hard to insure that all items available for purchase through the website are in stock and ready to ship. In the rare instance that a purchased item is out of stock, the customer will be contacted within 24 hours and given the opportunity to cancel the order and receive a refund, or to back-order the item and have it shipped to them once it is back in stock. We do not otherwise take back-orders of sold out items, unless there is a special note in the item description. If you are interested in an item that is marked "Sold Out", feel free to email us for information about when it will be available again.

Can I get other Spiel & Holz products that are not shown on your website?
Yes! Spiel & Holz Design has so many wonderful and amazing products that, although we are always adding new ones to our inventory, we are just not able to stock them all. If you are interested in a Spiel & Holz product that we do not have, we would be happy to get it for you by special order. Simply
contact us with the name and description of the item, and we'll provide a price quote. Special orders from Germany can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks from ordering to delivery.

Can I get a catalog?
Unfortunately we do not currently have a professionally printed catalog. We do have a simple printable price list available for download, just
click here. For those who can download larger files, we also have a price list with colored thumbnails of each product. Due to the file size, the illustrated price listed is divided into two sections (click to download) Toys & Puzzles and Kids Furniture & Play Kitchens. Availability and prices listed in the Price Lists are not guaranteed since they are not updated immediately as the website is. For those who prefer mail-order, orders may be submitted by mail or by fax using our printable order form.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, you can give the gift of Fine Wooden Toys to your family and friends with our gift certificates! Available in $10, $25, $50 and $100 (USD) denominations, good toward any order from www.finewoodentoys.com. Have a printed certificate mailed to you or someone else, or a printable certificate emailed right to your inbox.

Do you gift wrap?
Sorry, we are not currently able to offer gift wrapping service. However, we do recognize the fact that many orders are shipped directly to gift recipients. Therefore, we never show prices or totals on the forms that are sent with the order*. The buyer's name and billing address appear on the packing slip, so the recipient can see who it is from.

*The exception being international orders, in which case, item prices and totals must be shown.

Can I order by mail or fax?
Yes (US customers only). You may print a copy of our
order form, fill it out and mail it in to: Fine Wooden Toys, PO Box 258, Drexel MO 64742, or fax it at any time to (660) 675-4461. Check the box by your payment choice - you may use a credit card, enclose a check or money order, request a Paypal invoice or use a purchase order.

How do I pay for my order?
To pay with a credit or debit card, click "View Cart" in the upper right corner of any page to begin check out. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover through our secure shopping cart/checkout system. Sales tax of 5.225% will be added if you are shipping to Missouri.

Can I pay with Paypal, check or money order?
Yes. We accept Paypal, checks and money orders, however we cannot process these types of payments through our online shopping cart/checkout system. If you prefer to use a payment method other than a credit card, you may place your order by mail using our printable
order form, by phone by calling (660) 675-4460, or email us at sales@finewoodentoys.com. Your order will be processed and shipped once your payment is received. Our Paypal payment address is: sales@finewoodentoys.com. Mail checks or money orders to: Fine Wooden Toys, PO Box 258, Drexel MO 64742.

Can I use a Purchase Order?
Yes (US customers only). Simply fax a completed
order form and/or your PO to us at (660) 675-4461, or mail to: Fine Wooden Toys, PO Box 258, Drexel MO 64742. In most cases, we will offer Net 30 terms on orders placed by educational institutions such as public schools, libraries and museums. In some cases we may ask for the completion of a credit application, and in other cases we may require payment in advance on the first order.

I don't live in the US. Can I order from your website?
We will only ship orders within the US, to AP/AE addresses and Canada. Since shipping toys to Canada now costs significantly more than within the US, a 25% "Tax" is added during checkout to cover shipping expenses. Please do not confuse this with any customs duties that may be due on arrival in your country. Similarly, a 7% "Tax" will be added to orders shipping to AP/AE addresses in order to cover the increased shipping costs. NOTE: items that say "UPS Ground only" in the product description cannot be shipped to Canada or military addresses.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, PO Boxes and military addresses?
Yes. Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, PO Boxes and military addresses will ship by USPS Parcel Post. Priority/expedited shipping upgrades are available by special request - email us at sales@finewoodentoys.com either before or immediately after placing an order for a shipping upgrade/quote. NOTE: items that say "UPS Ground only" in the product description cannot be shipped to these locations.

How will my order be shipped?
Most orders are carefully packaged and shipped by UPS Ground from our location in Missouri, within 24-48 hours of order placement. Delays may be experienced during peak holiday season. Many larger items, such as kids furniture, toy boxes and play kitchens, ship by UPS Ground direct from the manufacturer's warehouse. As a result, some orders will ship in more than one part. Orders shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, a PO Box or an APO/FPO address ship by USPS Parcel Post (items that ship by "UPS Ground only" are not available to these customers). Other, faster shipment options are available by special request. Email us at sales@finewoodentoys.com either before or immediately after placing an order for a shipping upgrade/quote. Orders shipping to Canada ship by First Class if under 4 lbs, and Priority International if heavier.

How much will shipping cost?
Never pay more than $9.98 for ground shipping within the US! Shipping charges are based on the weight of the order and are calculated automatically during checkout. Ground shipping costs range from $7.98 to $9.98. To account for the higher shipping costs to AP/AE addresses and Canada, a "tax" will be added to the total during checkout. See the question about international ordering above for more information.

When can I expect my order to arrive?
Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1-2 business days of receipt of payment. Delays may be experienced during peak holiday season. Once shipped, delivery times vary depending upon the distance from Missouri. Orders shipping by UPS Ground generally arrive within 2-5 business days. A UPS tracking number will be emailed to you after your order ships, which may be used to track your package's progress at www.ups.com. Orders shipping by USPS Parcel Post (APO/FPO/PO Box/Hawaii/Alaska/Puerto Rico) take 3-6 business days within the lower 48 states, longer for others. Priority Mail (available by special request) takes 2-3 business days to US addresses and 6-10 days for military and Canadian addresses.

Where is my order?
Every order that we ship has a tracking number (UPS) or delivery confirmation number (USPS) that can be used to track down a delinquent package. For UPS Ground packages, you will receive a UPS tracking number when the order ships. You can go to www.ups.com and input the tracking number to check the status of your package and also find it's expected delivery date. If your package was sent through the US Postal Service, and you are concerned that it has not yet arrived, contact us and we can use the delivery confirmation number to help track it down.

What if something is damaged or defective when it arrives?
Please examine your order as soon as it arrives and
contact us right away to report any broken or defective items. If an item is damaged during shipment or defective on arrival, save all packaging and contact us immediately to have it replaced free of charge. If the item needs to be returned to us, we will pay the return shipping.

Can I return something?
If for any other reason you are not happy with your purchase, undamaged and complete items may be returned for a refund of the purchase price. In order to qualify, you must
contact us within 14 days of receiving the item. Please do not return an item without prior authorization. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

Can I cancel an order?
Yes, an order may be canceled if it has not yet been shipped. If you wish to cancel an order, please
contact us as soon as possible as most orders are shipped within 24-48 hours.
