These uniquely beautiful claves (klah-veys) are made in Java, Indonesia from the wood of the coconut tree. Rooted in Latin and Cuban music, claves are also a staple in beginner rhythm and music classes! The clave call is a sharp, high-pitched wood-on-wood sound, which can be varied by how they are held.
