A great first lacing set for younger children - these big and colorful animal pattern beads provide hours of lacing fun for children as young as two years. Lacing is a great activity for practicing hand-eye coordination and exercising creativity. This set includes 6 big animal beads (2" diameter), six natural wood beads (1.5" diameter), and a thick lacing string. To make lacing easy, fun and safe for younger children, the lacing string has the following special features: 1) One of the natural beads is permanently attached to one end of the lace to keep beads from sliding off. 2) Attached to the other end of the lace is a smooth wooden "needle". 3) A quick-release safety connector in the middle of the string can be pulled apart to separate the lace into two pieces.
